"If my people , which are called by
my name,
shall humble themselves,
and pray, and seek
my face, and
turn from their wicked ways;
then will I hear from heaven,
and will forgive their sin, and
will heal their land"

2 Chronicles 7:14

Prayer Ministry

"Whenever you pray, go into your room and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret."

Matthew 6:6

Jesus is saying that we should set aside a time and place for personal prayer. Where is your quiet place to pray? Where can you close the door on the distractions of life and steal away to Jesus? What is the best time for you to pray?

At Monks Grove we have set aside a sacred place where you can come and spend time with God. This is a place where you can focus on Him and forget about the cares of the world. It is a place where you can still the body and quiet the mind and spend time in the presence of your heavenly Father who truly loves you.

The Prayer Room is used by all members of Monks Grove Baptist Church, and it is where the Prayer Team meet and pray each Wednesday night. It has come to be known as "The Upper Room."

About The Prayer Ministry
