Greeter's Ministry
"Therefore recieve one another,
just as Christ also recieved us, to the glory of God."
Romans 15:7
What is a church
greeter?
A church greeter is a friendly, happy person, and one that loves God,
and his people. A church greeter bridges the gap of communication
to visitors, new comers and members. Greeters are the front line of
hospitality. The Greeters are vital “ministers” (servants)
to the church. The Greeters represent Christ and our pastors.
Why are greeters needed?
Greeters are essential to the church as they are to demonstrate sincere
love and hospitality.(1Peter 1:22); To warmly welcome each other into
the church, just as Christ has warmly welcomed you; then God will
be glorified. (Romans 15:7) Greeters are needed to express who God
is, God is love!
Serving as a Church Greeter
The job of the head greeter is to
ensure that everything runs smoothly and to preside over meetings
of all greeters; to work with the officers. Always remember ushers
take over where greeters leave off; escorting people to their seats.
